Sheriff Ira Edwards Jr.
Appointed by the President of NSA to Chair the Chaplains Committee
Sheriff Ira Edwards, Jr. was appointed by NSA President (Sheriff Craig Webre)
to chair the NSA Chaplains Committee. This committee is a nondenominational
arm of the National Sheriff's Association with the spiritual element of the
law enforcement profession. The goal of this committee is to meet the needs of
the chaplains nationwide for sound training, access to helpful materials with
spiritual content, and knowledge of programs that work. This committee
encourages the highest standards of integrity and sound policy within the
ranks of chaplains, in order to assist the sheriffs of our nation to work
effectively with members of their departments and the jail or correctional
facility population.
In addition, Sheriff Edwards
has been ask to be the keynote speaker for the National Sheriffs' Association
Prayer Breakfast this summer in Indianapolis, Indiana. Congratulations Sheriff
Edwards!!!!!
