Chief Deputy Gene Mays, Corporal Louise Roth, and Sheriff Ira Edwards, Jr. during an awards ceremony February 7th 2007 recognizing Corporal Roth for her Exemplary Service on January 25th 2007. Her actions resulted in the prevention and subsequent arrest of a woman attempting to bring a concealed firearm into the Clarke County Courthouse.
